Camcorder Batteries

The great thing about technology advances over the past decades is the power and ease of use with some of these amazing gadgets, and camcorders are no exception. They used to be huge and bulky and the battery only lasted about an hour. Today, there are camcorders that can fit in your pocket and record hours of video on one battery.

But eventually the battery will lose some life and you'll need to decide how to handle that problem. The way batteries are made, with time they lose some of their charge and power. Camcorder batteries are very easy to remove and replace so having a backup battery (or two) can save you a lot of hassle when you're recording video.

Depending on what type of camcorder you have, a spare battery could be rather costly if you go with a name brand. You can always buy an off-brand that will save you some money, but the quality of the battery will be lower than from a name brand company. You just have to decide how much extra battery life you need, and how much it's worth to you.
